Haunted Keep

Time and neglect have taken a significant toll on the 100-foot-square, 20-foot-high wooden palisade surrounding five interior structures of varying size and states of disrepair. Several sections of the outer wall are clearly breached and bear significant scorch marks, while its formerly sturdy gate precariously clings to its bent hinges. The Ruined Keep sits atop a rise in the Shorsai Forest, where its curse spreads far and wide across the section of the unkempt forest north of the Shorsai River. According to legend, the keep’s commander and her lover betrayed the people she was sworn to protect. In retribution for her treacherous actions, her queen condemned them to forever safeguard the keep as its wretched undead guardians. They remain there to this day. Many believe only their destruction can liberate the land from the pall hanging over it.
