In the north, Libynos is divided into three broad regions, each separated by wild deserts, hills, jungles, and mountains inhabited by nomadic or semi-nomadic peoples. In the west there is the
Ammuyad Caliphate, rich and powerful form trade both across the sea with Akados and over the
Great Caravan Road with the empires of
Istaflumina. The latter is home to the ancient cities that comprise the empires of
Adenia,
Assuria, and
Ealim. The far notherrn tip of Libynos is home to the
Jaati, a people divided into dozens of rival nations ruled by rajahs and ranees, lords and princes.
