Government

The town is controlled by a Mayor that is elected ever six years by the residents of the town. The mayor is typically reelected unless they retire on there own the position tends to be for life.

Industry & Trade

The beef trade is the biggest thing in the town. It is forbidden to sell one of the cows raised in the city or ti trasport them else were. This was put in place to ensure that the town kept their monopoly and the highly desired Telberg Cows. The exception to this rule are male cows that have been made sterile for they are allowed to be transported and sold elsewhere. It is this process that is the main way the cows are sold throughout the rest of the world.

Infrastructure

The town is a fairly large farming town. It is located in the hill lands, where most of the houses are one story and made form wood and straw.

Assets

The main asset of the settlement are the Telberg Cows named after the city itself. These cows are unique to the town and have been bread here for centuries. It is widely belives the meat from these cows is the beard in the whole world.

History

Talberg was founded in 209 as a small agricultural settlement. It was originally small and insignificant, that is until around the year 400 when people started to notice that something was different about the livestock there, particularly the cows. No one knows for sure what happened but the cows that had been born and raised in the city for generations started to gain a unique flavor. When they were sold to nearby city the towns folk mention how they had never tasted something quite like that before. Realizing what could be make of this discovery the Mayor at the time put some strict laws out in order to keep the Telberg cows in Talberg. The small town began to make a names for itself and even got some people moving to the town to get in on the new market that was emerging from this new species of cow. With in the more then 2000 years since this discovery the cows have only become better tasting separating themselves from normal cattle more. And the town started to grow rich form the commodity causing more and more people to live in this once small farming village.
