Cyning Cwichelm

Cyning Cwichelm is king of the Saxon tribe known as the Angles. He conquered Caerwent in 500 and declared himself Bretwalda of the Saxons and king of all Britain in 501. This led the other Saxon kingdoms to band together against him and defeat the Angles in 502.
