Android Traits
As an android, you have the following traits.
Ability Score Increase. One ability score of your choice increases by 2, and one other ability score of your choice increases by 1. Alternatively, three ability scores of your choice each increase by 1.
Age. Androids don't age, though they require maintenance to retain functionality.
Type. Your creature type is android.
Armor Integration. You can not wear armor, but you can have the armor professionally integrated into your chassis over the course of a long rest. This work must be done by someone proficient with roboticist's implements. You must be proficient in armor in order to have it integrated.
Droid Resistances. You are resistant to necrotic, poison, and neural damage, and are immune to poison and disease.
Droid Systems. You do not need to eat, drink, or breathe. Additionally you no longer require a tech focus to cast tech powers.
Droid Vulnerabilities. You are vulnerable to EMP damage. Additionally, you have disadvantage on saving throws against effects that would deal EMP or electric damage.
Quantum-Insensitive. While androids can be manipulated by many quantum powers, they can not sense quantum fluctuations. You can not use quantum powers or take levels in quantumcasting classes.
Maintenance Mode. Rather than sleep, you must spend 3 hours performing routine maintenance during a lost rest to gain its benefits, during which you have disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks. Additionally, if your long rest would be interrupted, you only need to complete the long rest instead of restarting it.
Rapid Reconstruction. You are built with internal repair mechanisms. As a bonus action, you can choose to spend one of your Hit Dice to recover hit points.
Model. Many different models of android exist, designed specifically for a multitude of purposes. Choose one of these models.
Hybrid Model
Designed as a multi-purpose android, you have the following traits.
Size. Hybrid androids could stand anywhere from 5 to 8 feet tall, weighing anywhere from 150 to 250 lbs. Regardless of your position in that range, your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 25 feet.
Specializations. Equipped for multiple tasks, choose
two of the following traits.
- Knowledge Protocol. You have proficiency in one Intelligence or Wisdom skill of your choice. If you would already have proficiency in that skill, you instead have expertise.
- Integrated Engineering. You have proficiency in one artisan's implements or specialist's kit of your choice. The chosen kit is integrated into your chassis, and can not be removed while you are conscious.
- Languages. You can speak, read, and write all registered languages.
- Martial Protocol. You have proficiency with light and medium armor as well as two simple or martial blasters or vibroweapons of your choice. Alternatively, your base walking speed is instead 30 feet.
- Powerful Build. Your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift doubles. If it would already double, it instead triples.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write one Earthly language and another language of your choice.
Science Model
Designed for mathematical, medical, or physical sciences, you have the following traits.
Size. Science androids typically stand between 5 and 6 feet tall and weigh about 170 lbs. Regardless of your position in that range, your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 25 feet.
Knowledge Protocol. You have proficiency in two Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma skills of your choice. If you would already have proficiency in one of them, you instead have expertise.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write one Earthly language and another language of your choice.
Engineering Model
Designed for engineering and other technical sciences, you have the following traits.
Size. Engineering androids typically stand 2 to 4 feet tall and weigh about 70 lbs. Regardless of your position in that range, your size is Small.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 25 feet.
Integrated Engineering. You have proficiency in one artisan's implements or specialist's kit of your choice. The chosen kit is integrated into your chassis, and can not be removed while you are conscious.
Skill Protocol. You have proficiency in two skills of your choice.
Undersized. Your small stature makes it hard for you to wield bigger weapons. You can't use heavy shields. Additionally, you can't use martial weapons with the two-handed property unless it also has the light property, and if a martial weapon has the versatile property, you can only wield it in two hands.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write two Earthly languages of your choice.
Social Model
Designed to interact with humans, you have the following traits.
Size. Social androids stand around the height of humans and weight about 150 lbs. Regardless of your position in that range, your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 25 feet.
Knowledge Protocol. You have proficiency in one Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma skill.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write all registered languages.
Combat Model
Designed for military and security purposes, you have the following traits.
Size. Combat androids typically stand between 5 and 7 feet and weigh about 150 lbs. Regardless of your position in that range, your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Martial Protocol. You have proficiency with light and medium armor as well as two simple or martial blasters or vibroweapons of your choice.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write one Earthly language and another language of your choice.
Labor Model
Designed for menial and low-skill tasks like construction and maintenance, you have the following traits.
Size. Labor androids typically stand between 6 and 8 feet and weigh around 260 lbs. Regardless of your position in that range, your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Manual Laborer. You have proficiency in Athletics and one set of artisan's implements of your choice.
Powerful Build. Your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift doubles. If it would already double, it instead triples.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write one Earthly language and another language of your choice.
