Trano
Trano is a group of eight major islands, along with numerous atolls and islets, that is around 2,500 miles southwest of Motu in the Hema Sea. It is the original home of the Mu'o'a people, who were driven from there by warfare between the many political factions of those islands. The journey between Trano and the Great Ring is long and difficult, and there is very little commerce between the two regions.
Notable Spirits
All that is known of the gods of Trano are the half-remembered stories of the Mu'o'a whose ancestors once lived there. They were spirits of the wind, sea, and mountains, and like the many gods of the Great Ring were tethered to the places they embodied. When the Mu'o'a arrived on Motu, they had to find new gods, and they found speaking of the ones left behind to be difficult and painful.
Geography
The largest island in the archipelago, also known as Trano, makes up a little more than 60% of the total landmass, and is larger than any island in the Great Ring. The other major islands are much smaller, with the second largest island less than a fifth the size of Trano Island. Even so, the second largest is large enough that it would be the sixteenth largest in the Great Ring. The islands are volcanic in nature, and have many high mountains, higher than anything in the Great Ring. The ecosystem is rich and fertile, and the people of Trano believe themselves blessed by the gods for their abundance.
