Emberly Malminar

Emberly Malminar was the founder and first Queen of the Kingdom of Malminar. She founded the city of Retinor after discovering a sealed cave complex containing a relic of the long lost Gods in the turn 2745 PB.
Prior to her founding what is arguably today the most prosperous kingdom on the continent of Halconiket, Emberly was an explorer from the ancient walled city of Mandricourt in what is now The Arrangement of Peace. She began exploring Halconiket in her eighteenth turn and had crossed into The Reaches by her 25th turn. Few humans had been to the reaches and back again at this time, but she eventually returned to what was then the small border town of Baltinet, bringing tales and trade items from the Altemen of The Reaches where all other humans had failed and died at the hands of hostile Altemen tribes.
Emberly was a mediocre magician and untrained but used her power to uncover many wonders thought lost to the world in her years of exploration. She also used her gift of diplomacy and empathy to negotiate many a trade agreement and treaty even before she became the monarch of a powerful country. She was singlehandedly responsible for opening up trade again between The Reaches and the country that would one day become Kenitt.
Her true rise to fame came when she founded Retinor and subsequently the country of Malminar. Detractors would say it was the Staff of Ceitus that truly created the Kingdom, but it was Emberly who worked tirelessly to expand its influence and bring peace to the warring factions that controlled the area that is now the country of Malminar.

I am certain that Queen Malminar could, if so motivated, stop a fight between a wild ulbanto and a rutting ice dragon just by talking to them both. They would leave happy to have pleased her and wondering why they should ever fight again.

She is revered by all Malminar subjects as the greatest Queen to have ever lived. Her foresight, intelligence, bravery, and dedication to the people of Malminar made her beloved across the Kingdom. Her accomplishments elevated her out to an almost mythical figure in Malminar history. To this day, The Reaches still hold a week long vigil each turn in memory of her passing and even the Seven Tribes of Uhl hold her in high regard and call her umbrisile, meaning formidable in the native tongue of the Tribes.
Her legacy lives on in the Royal Family who continue to rule Malminar with grace, dignity, and honor. Hundreds of young girls are named Emberly every turn across the Kingdom.
Emberly ruled the Kingdom of Malminar for almost 100 turns, being instrumental in expanding the realm from the Eastern Ocean to the Dendrihil Mountains. She was responsible for identifying the potential for The Acradious Fruit and beginning its export to other counties, thus ensuring the financial future of Malminar.
Queen Malminar personally established the forerunner to today's Researcher for the Malminar Counsel of Wizards because of her love and belief in exploration and knowledge.
