The Dian Family

A powerful family within the Earth Kingdom that is responsible for the manufacture of ceramics including armor, pottery, art objects, and similar things. The Dian family started the process a few generations ago with the marriage of a Firebender and an Earthbender.
Siu Dian = Earthbender, male, head of R&D, master and perfectionist, family head, originally married Toh for both practical and personal reasons
Toh Dian = nonbender, male, military liaison, responsible for military deals, descendant of noble family but very minor noble family
Shon Gao = biological mother of Xo Dian, from allied family, deals with money + numbers + recordkeeping + bureaucracy - banking family?
Have a clear view of what Xo's life should be; Siu trained Xo in family stuff which is nontraditional earthbending though Xo had trouble getting away from the artistic nature and into the practical
Xo was sent off after a fight with fathers about this deviation, Xo is only child/the heir
Siu's father = original patriarch
