Session 38 - Concert

General Summary

The party followed Karic | Drow Emissary to an auditorium where he and about 20 other musicians performed a private concert. Most of the musicians were drow but a few were other species. The auditorium was bowl-shaped. The audience were sat on the floor while the performers took positions on the tiered stadium seating around them.
S'thom felt something was off about the situation and had her guard up. The music was beautiful by all standards but something about it did not sit right with her. She began to observe the musicians closely and searched around the room for clues.
The others fell into a meditative trance while listening to the music, which was enhanced by bardic magic. Karic spoke to them telepathically about General Bodega. First he told them that the General was smuggling weapons and marigal artifacts to the Resistance. When that failed to get their attention, he told them that the General was also smuggling for the ISB and the Coalition of Progress.
They asked about the Unblinking and a psychic magical item feared by Seethe | Red Dragon. Karic warned them not to get involved with the Unblinking, a dangerous criminal organization that was more powerful than all the other bouroughs in Nanoen combined. He didn't know of any particular psychic artifacts in the area, other than the crystalline rocks that could amplified or reduce psychic emanations.
Meanwhile, S'thom noticed that the glowing rocks around them cast cloudy images that resembled eyes. She worried that her friends were trapped in a spell and began to bang on instruments to make noise and wake them up.
As the team began to wake from their trance they saw that each of the musicians were decorated by a tattoo of an unblinking eye, only visible in the glowing light of the auditorium crystals.
Luckily, Karic and his friends did not start a fight. Instead, they let the party leave unhindered, with the knowledge to unlock the Labyrinth.
When the heroes again looked in upon the dragon-face room, they each looked into one of the pools and stared at their reflections until they saw a different version of themselves. Then the dragon statue opened its mouth and revealed a tunnel.
