Session 4 - Zombies
General Summary
The night's rest was interrupted by the clanging of alarm bells and cries at the door of the New Frontiers Guild hall. The team slowly awoke to investigate. Someone outside beat on doors and windows with cries of "Zombies!"
The less experienced of the crew was unsure where to go or what to do. They snuck outside to the south end of the guild hall and found a shipwreck in Shipwright's Bay. The wreck wasn't a large ship though. It looked more like a poorly hobbled together raft that had broken apart during its voyage.
Gorgoroth woke and asked about the noise. Aishwarya Gloomhooves told him about the crier. When he saw the shambling figures heading towards the school and market he chased after them. Berov, S'thom and Red joined and followed his lead.
A group of older students hung out at the merchant tents when the shambling figures arrived. One of the students was knocked to the ground and the heroes jumped into action. Berov wrestled to save the fallen student. Red cast spells at one of the distant zombies. Gorgoroth fought defensively. S'thom decapitated a grung with a single swing.
Shortly into the fight the group realized that the "zombies" were not monsters. They were sick people who were searching for food and help.
Guards climbed down from the nearby Bazaar Tower to investigate. A tiefling guard named Jektor was curious about Gorgoroth's origin story. Human guard McCrae brought news from the Moon Tower: more shambling creatures were seen heading towards the fields.
