Session 43 - Siege
General Summary
The swarm of kobolds swept up the adventuring party and crowd-surfed them through the tunnels to the Undercroft. The intruders attacked, herding the populace to the surface with small explosions, noise makers and fear tactics.
The party climbed to the surface using the fastest route possible and found themselves in the shopping district, on the opposite side of the canyon as the Black Diamond resort and the General's headquarters. They intended to go to HQ to sync up with Bodega and Wulfhilda.
Across the city, they could see civilians running from kobolds and buildings catching fire. Red and S'thom attacked anearby swarm while Lumen and Gorgoroth looked for the quickest way across the canyon. A roar and a flash of arrows caught their attention. Wyvern-riders attacked from the sky. Gorgoroth recognized them as the Committee, the gang that ran the Boneyard district and served Seethe.
Lumen magically commanded the hobgoblin leader of the wyvern riders to land nearby. The ruse was quickly up and combat began. The heroes focused their fire on the commander and killed him, though many took damage during the fight. His wingman escapted and met two other wyvern-riders on the east side of the city.
Renestrae summoned the Golden Dragon and ferried the party to the Black Diamond balconies, then swooped down to the valley floor to rescue as many civilians as she could.
