The Church of Ba'al

The Church of Ba'al is a collective community dedicated to every Alchemical, forming a full pantheon. They were originally founded in 697 AC by a group of Majikai each devoted to one Alchemical, then steadily gained influence throughout the Multiverse, especially in more religious areas like the Sakyrian Empire. Eventually, some time after the forming of the Hub Council, they were officially recognized by them with a slight nudge by one of the Alchemicals themselves. Since then, the Church of Ba'al has continued to grow in numbers and influence as a religion, with their largest temple, the House of Ba'al, established in Kal'suud, the city of wonders. Not being devoted entirely to any one Alchemical, the Church of Ba'al's temples can be seen split into five different sections, each with symbolism and aesthetics reminiscent of their respective Alchemical. They also have smaller shrines built along larger roads to one specific Alchemical and similarly small temples dedicated in the same way, but those are typically in small villages which have limited reach influence wise. These temples are typically dedicated to the patron deity of the Verse in which the village is, but in the case of settlements in the Hub, they might be dedicated to any number of the Alchemicals. This is most likely decided by which ones have had the most influence on the settlement itself. Overall the Church of Ba'al has been well received over the past few centuries, and had been accepted into many circles of influence even before its recognition by the Hub Council. In fact, this unusually positive reception was likely what caused the Hub Council to consider them for the Multiverse's official pantheon, though there was very probably a large appeal to them from the idea of one religion encompassing an entire pantheon of gods. Since it was highly unlikely everyone in the Council's influence, or the Alchemicals for that matter, would have been stoked to follow one specific deity, the level of flexibility the Church of Ba'al gave the Hub Council must have been far too enticing to give up.

Public Agenda

The Church's open agenda is to spread the divine word of the Alchemicals as a whole throughout the Multiverse.
