Aegis Lux

An Aegis Lux is a mythical legendary artifact which is said to be able to create a dome-like sanctuary made out of light around itself. It's ability to provide illumination on a long-term basis and provide shelter against outside forces makes it one of the only objects that can protect against the apocalyptic cyclical event known as the eternal night. Some stories tell of peoples who tried to construct an Aegis in the Past Age, and it is often said that the High Elves of Amon Lanc used an Aegis to get through the last period of eternal dark largely unscathed.

A group of adventurers of the Old Don have managed to get their hands on a blueprint of the Aegis. According to this document, the artifact needs to be constructed from five illusive materials.
