With control of the largest port city of Nordland, Norden, the von Neuraths represents the mercantile fleet of the Grand Barony. While the city may not see the trade of Marienburg or Erengrad, the von Neurath has a stranglehold on the ports, ensuring that they need not share the profits with any burghers or upstart merchant guilds. In contrast with the Gausser Family, the von Neurath has preferred a position of peaceful trade and diplomacy to the war-mongering ways of the Elector Count.
