Grey River
The mountain city that houses the outcast crafters of the more warlike races. If you have something you need made of metal or glass, it can be made here. The guilds decide who can come into the city and who gets workshops.
Demographics
80% orc
15% goblin
5% mix of gnome and human
Government
Meritocracy: representatives are determined by individual guild criteria. Guilds don't just set the laws, they are the laws. If you break the rules of a guild while in their workshops or if you violate a town law as set and posted by the counsel you're likely to be kicked out of that particular area.
Defences
Automated defenses of constructs and turrets that regularly don't function as intended. The main thing keeping them safe is the difficulty of reaching them on the mountain side.
Industry & Trade
Steel and copper and oil are the main trade goods going into the village and weird gadgets and charred bodies of tinkerers are the main exports.
Infrastructure
This is a worker settlement straddling the two sides of a mountain river. There are many guild-like buildings that are filled with tinkerers and workshops. The buildings are sturdy build to withstand the harsh winters of the mountain, not that folks live in their workshops after the snow falls. The caves have living spaces in them where citizens can stay till the mountainside clears up.
Assets
Free lance gadgeteers and skilled laborers.

History
Word in the city is that a band of orcs bared from their respective homes for their massive intellect, found a small tribe of mountain goblins who were quite good at smelting metal. After some (quite abusive) deals were made, an alliance was formed and the founding guild was created.
Architecture
Stone, metal, and glass workshops where most people live in addition to work.
Geography
Mountainous but well developed roads and lifts makes travel within the city easy. Accessing the city requires riding a lift or flight to the top.
Natural Resources
Craft metals, ores, and gems. Also rocks, lots and lots of rocks.
