Mt.SIlver Scale

In the southern mountain ranges of the continent of Eisoleff is the extraordinary mountain, tallest on the continent, Mount Silver Scale. Atop the mountain along the flats and cliffs of jaded eastern side, is the city of Grey River. The mountain has a spring inside it's near peak from which the river flows down. This is the opening of the Grey river for which the town was named.

Alterations

Many sections of the mountain have been mined out for ores, but the mountain is considered bare of resources. The Mines that were dug into the mountain are now abandoned by their originators but by creatures fond of the dark tunnels.

History

The mountain was considered a goal by early Polets coming from the east as it was presumed to be the tallest point in the material plane from which the outer disks could be reached. These early explorers where wrong and the gods knew it, but they were all too busy devising a way to shield the material from outer threats. These people were also Hestians. No one could blame these humans for wanting to get back to Hestu's embrace. The mountain, however, was already settled by a band of particularly clever goblins who found the act of mining fulfilling and the task of invention a noble one. The humans decided it was too much trouble to fight the goblins up a mountain at a disadvantage and went to find a new way to get home to Hestu. These goblins were responsible for the Grey river getting its original name but dumping sludge and dust into the water. The city of Grey River wouldn't be founded until a band of orcs, not fond of the expansionism and warlike nature of the Orcine states. While the waters are now clean, due to the orcs finding the river water undrinkable and strong arming the goblins into not dumping garbage into it, the river and town still hold the name of Grey River.
