The Nehan Desert
There are very few reasons to head past the northern most mountain ranges of Eisoleff. Devoid of roads and lacking in abundant food or water. The only people who are keen to head that way are often running away from something. Escaping to the deserts of the north is rarely the better option for most, but when you're in need of a place where your death will be slow but extraordinarily likely, the Nehan is where you go. Deadly reptilian scavengers and territorial clans are worries then the inhospitable dryness of the sandy dunes and sun baked stretches of bleached bones.
Geography
Sand and dunes make up the majority of the landscape. Oases are not mythical but they are rare and well defended. The south is mountains and the north is ocean. The entire desert is encircled by hazardous terrain. While there are more rocky and solid places near the shores and mountains, those are not the norm for the desert.
Fauna & Flora
The occasional cactus or shrub is what you'll find out on the dunes. Any given oasis is likely to yield magical lilies and orchids. The palms of the oases are common palm but the fruits they provide are essential to life in the Nehan. Reptilian omnivorous scavengers are at the top of the food chain on the dunes, drakes and basilisks namely. They prey on roting fruits and cacti and the occasional hair and bird they can find.
Natural Resources
Palm fruit, oasis grain, and cactus are the main plant resources of the Nehan. The Wood of the withered and depleted palms become carts and the supports for tents. Basilisks and drakes who roam the dunes have their leather harvested for tents and armor. Their teeth and nails are used for weapons and as tools. Phoenix feathers are gathered on occasion and are used as gifts for the most honored and decorated in the eyes of the Nehan people.
