Alois Beaumont

Agent of the Royal Eyes, and former partner to Adelaide ir'Laurent before his presumed death in Fairhaven.
The son of a wealthy merchant family, Alois was raised with high expectations placed on his shoulders. Excelling at the arts and language more than martial studies, he chose to apply for the Eyes instead of seeking an officer's commission as his parents wanted.
After a successful start, he was assigned to several operations with Adelaide. What started as a rivalry slowly blossomed into something more. Eventually, he asked for her hand in marriage,which Adélaïde eagerly accepted. However, everything came to a grinding halt when their last job went bad, and Adélaïde was forced to flee as Matthis ir'Rousseau's hired enforcers left Alois dead or unconscious.
Since then, Aloïs has been missing. A body was never recovered. Adélaïde spent months searching for him, but after a year of chasing a ghost, even she had to accept that he was gone. Aloïs's family held a funeral, but with nothing to layto rest, it was ultimately a hollow attempt to move on. Only when Adélaïde discovered a small reference in Matthis's private notes - "Need to do something with Beaumont" - did she start to hope he may in fact be alive somewhere.
