Matthis ir'Rousseau

An Aundairan nobleman and younger son of the Rousseau family, Matthis has spent his adult life managing his family's holdings, while training to become a wizard of respectable skill. With the family's historical holdings being the estates near Thaliost, they have spent the last 50 years dispossesed, with a slowly shrinking chest of funds. Dependant on the charity of the crown and what little they were able to extract from their estate - now part of Thrane - it was little surprise to see Matthis turn to organized crime to prop up his family's finances.
Upon further investigation by Royal Eyes Adelaide ir'Laurent and her partner, Alois Beaumont, it was discovered he was not only working with the Daggers, a local criminal organisation, but was in fact selling information on Aundair's military workings to Thranish agents. When attempting to steal damning evidence, however, Matthis had his people kill Alois before fleeing the country to Thrane.
Adelaide found Matthis again while working for The Dragonhawk Initiative, retrieving a lock of hair to enable future tracking, and finding information that implied Alois may still be alive.
