The Imperials, once living in the imperial core of Snow Elven cities, have since spread throughout Fromata, becoming the most populous human species. Their historical ties to the Snow Elves allowed them to be immersed in cultural studies, the arts, and economic roles, but also subjected them to lives of household and farming slavery in northern cities. In modern times, Imperials are found across Fromata, where they make up the majority of the population.
Ethnicity
Imperials are descendants of Nods who lived in the Snow Elven cities and adapted to the cultural and intellectual environment around them. With skin tones ranging from olive to dark brown and dark-colored hair, they are shorter in stature compared to most other human species, save for halflings. The Imperials’ ethnic identity is shaped by their historical servitude but also their later prominence as influential participants in Fromatian society.
Religion
Imperials have varied religious beliefs, with many following the Holy See, a dominant religious structure within Fromata. Others, however, do not follow any organized religion, reflecting the complex societal shifts that have occurred over time. Their religious practices often differ based on where they reside, as regional influences shape their approach to faith or lack thereof.
Intelligence
As a human species that once lived closely with the Snow Elves, Imperials have a rich tradition of intellectual pursuits. They were immersed in cultural studies, the arts, and economics, developing a deep appreciation for knowledge and artistic expression. Their contributions to the economy, both during their time as slaves and after gaining more autonomy, have made them highly adaptable and resourceful in modern society.
Appearance
Imperials have olive to dark brown skin tones and dark hair, with shorter statures compared to other human species, with the exception of halflings. Their smaller size may be a result of their historical adaptation to urban environments and the roles they played within Snow Elven cities. Despite their modest height, their physical presence is often noted for their resilience and adaptability in various societal roles.
Tradition
The traditions of the Imperials are as diverse as the regions in which they reside. Once used as household and farming slaves, they have since established their own cultural practices, heavily influenced by the societies they have integrated into. While some maintain ties to the Holy See, others have moved away from religious practice altogether, reflecting the wider societal trends of Fromata. Their traditions often revolve around art, intellectualism, and community, shaped by their historical experiences and their modern-day roles within Fromatian society. One common factor however is their pride in their military might during the Vathmirian rebelling since they made of a large portion of the fighting force. It is not uncommon for long lines of millitary families and veneration of Military leaders and heroes even outside their race.
