As an action, you can hold the gem, focus on an individual you have met at least once, and speak a message of up to 25 words. The message is telepathically transmitted to the chosen recipient, who hears it in their mind as if you are speaking directly to them. The gem can transmit the message across any distance, even across different planes of existence, but it cannot reach someone on a plane that is magically sealed against telepathic contact. Once the message is sent, the gem’s light fades, it crumbles into sparkling dust, and its magic expended. Update: This item was used to sate the spirit of Agatha when the Owl Friends traveled to Conyberry to release her spirit from the physical plane of existence. She is finally at peace.
