Once a daring warlock, Rajani Tal'varo was known as far north as the Spine of the World and as far south as Baldur's Gate. His adventures led him through countless perils, harnessing dark energies and forging pacts with celestial beings. During a fateful exploration beneath the Moon Hills, he stumbled upon ancient, arcane tarot cards radiating a profound magical essence. These were tools of prophecy, used by a long-lost civilization for divine communication. Intrigued by their power and the visions they invoked, Rajani's path shifted dramatically. He gradually retired from the life of an adventurer, drawn deeper into the mysteries of the tarot.
Embracing his newfound calling, Rajani established an outpost he calls The Comfort Zone, a place of tranquil, mellow magic below Mirrorwater Lake, northeast of Phandalin. The moonlight shines brighter in this vale for reasons Rajani doesn't question. He just knows his visions and tarot readings are better and stronger here than they have been in years. His readings aren't a bargain, but they're powerful enough to warrant the cost.
Rajani also deals in minor magic items he crafts himself. They're available for consideration for the right adventurerers.
Update: On 18 Kythorn 1491 DR, Rajani was one of four vendors who showed up for the twice annual maker craft event the The Shadowed Bazaar. He made the two day trip to the edge of the Neverwinter Woods. There he offered a Tarot reading to Anar Menel and sold a magical potion to Scarla Wiggleboot.
