Oakendale

Oakendale, located in the eastern region of the Kingdom of Wrayatora. Oakendale is one of the jewels of the Kingdom. It is ruled by the powerful House of Thornledge, a noble family whose lineage can be traced all the way to the founding of Wrayatora. In Oakendale, the citizens enjoy a prosperous economy due to its discovery of a gold mine and a rumored organized smuggling operation.
Since the discovery of the gold mine, Oakendale has become a bustling hub of industry and trade. The gold mine has brought many merchants to the city, looking to make a quick profit from the gold and gems the mine produces. Additionally, the discrete channels of smuggling have allowed for goods from all corners of the Kingdom to flow through the city, making it a hot spot for merchants and traders across the kingdom.
The citizens of Oakendale are a mix of people from all walks of life. From the merchants and traders trading in the city's markets, to the workers toiling in the gold mine, they are a people united by their drive to succeed. However, the city is not without its share of challenges. Crime and corruption can be found in many parts of the city, and poverty has become a growing issue, as the city's riches have only been accessible to a privileged few. The disparity in wealth has been a growing point of contention amoungst the inhabitants.
Though the Kingdom of Wrayatora is in decline, Oakendale has managed to overcome these struggles and remain prosperous. Through the lucrative gold mine, and the many mercantile opportunities, the people of Oakendale still stand resilient. Perhaps with the help of House Thronledge, the City of Oakendale will be able to continue to thrive in the current state of Wrayatora.
