Pixie Pass
Deep in The Willowwood, there is a small village made up of wanderers and misfits. Individuals who have rejected the technologically advanced lifestyles of the modern world settled Pixie Pass, a village of nature and magic.
Pixie Pass was founded to be a safe haven for those who felt otherwise exiled from the modern world. The formation of Pixie Pass involved a great exodus into The Willowwood from surrounding areas. The Pixie Pass settlers (often referred to as Pixians) came to an agreement with the Fairy Folk, the native inhabitants of the magical forest. Pixians agreed to limit their use of technology and to respect the old ways and magics of the Fairy Folk. In exchange, the Fairy Folk were permitted to weave an ancient magical oath around Pixie Pass and its inhabitants and the Pixians were permitted to settle their new village deep in the heart of The Willowwood.
Government
The seven hundred and seventy-seven Pixians that live in Pixie Pass are governed via a nearly pure democracy. Each member of the citizenry is permitted to vote at a general assembly overseen by the eldest of the Pixians. Generally, Pixians don't like rules or law and instead choose to live their lives by the whims and feelings they experience. That said, there is a certain understanding that the old agreements with the Fairy Folk that permits Pixie Pass to exist within the magical world must be upheld at all costs.
Defences
Pixie Pass is defended mostly by ancient Fairy magics. The remote location deep within the magical forest makes finding Pixie Pass incredibly difficult. Thus, Pixians do not face many threats from the outside that require a defense. Nevertheless, Pixians stay vigilant against natural enemies living in the forest, including giant spiders and magical disease.
