A creature appears in West, charges East only to be destroyed by the dragons of the East.

At the peak of the wars of the Wolf and the Lizard, the ground opened up to swallow 2 large armies that were doing battle against one another. From the gaping pit crawled a creature known as the Tarrasque. It moved East for 5 years, leaving a path of destruction in its wake. None could stand against it for more than a moment, and even the grand elven wizards of the time were unable to stop its wrathful march that lead it ever closer to the lands east of the Mibr. In desperation, the Eastern Dwarves turned to the dragons, who had been their enemies for as long as either of them could remember. The dragons agreed to bring down the beast in return for the Dwarves eternal and unwavering loyalty to them.   They met the beast as it crossed the mighty Mibr River. It is said that the battle lasted for days and bent and warped the land, permanently altering the course of The Mibr. Many dragons fell before it was at last defeated. To ensure their victory could not be undone, the dragons rent the corpse into hundreds of pieces and tossed them into the Mibr River, which carried these pieces out to sea.
