Chapter 12: A long walk
General Summary
After being weirded out by Pricia the Observant, Sam went to confer with her party about the next steps. They decided to take the unconventional route to Eglisain, passing through an old network of caverns and stairs, rather than be held up at a checkpoint.
Deciding to pay Lakmir a visit, the two discussed Sam's current condition and her lack of growth. Deciding it best to adjust the way her body handles aether, Lakmir would compress aether coming into her body, so that Sam would have greater storage at her disposal. Her body did not react fluidly to this, however, as it constantly feels like it has less aether than it actually has. This may pass in time, but it is uncertain.
Beginning their journey to Eglisain, the party encountered a crumbled building, of which its purpose was not determined.
Arriving at the foot of the mountain's forest, the party camps outside. Arriadne discussed her reason for going to Eglisain, to investigate the aetherial phenomena that occured near it. She is prepared to fend off whatever horror she may encounter there, if it comes down to it.
