Chapter 16: Spearited Walks
General Summary
Being by herself, Sam explored the town, making her first stop at the local craft stations. After long deliberation, Sam ordered a custom spear. Intended to be easy to carry and relatively light, she would have to wait roughly two days for its completion.
Stopping by the fork to the Royal Palace, Sam overheard some guards excitedly conversing about the prospect of seeing a Royal Guard in battle. Following them, Sam confirmed the identity of their opponent, Arriadne deFleur herself. Not being much for pleasantries, she offended the royal circle and will right this through combat, as she tends to prefer.
Joining Lady Theron in watching his Majesty's Royal Guard face off against Arriadne, Sam beheld Arriadne stand toe to toe with the strongest warrior the Kingdom had to offer, and come out on top. With her identity cemented into the minds of all onlookers, Arriadne would never again be asked for her papers.
