Chapter 17: Answers, please
General Summary
Preferring not to get caught up in whatever events Arriadne would stir, Lady Theron departed Eglisain to return to Tathierre. As Sam was still lacking in papers, she investigated the Commons, though finding it dreary, dull and the opposite of lively.
Taking a moment to reflect on her options after a meal at the Inn, Samantha would leave a note for her companions and set out to the Facility, intent on finding out more on the path she has been set upon.
At the Facility, the Behemoth was still present, able to shed some light on matters that come up occasionally: The Eteras Project and The Error.
The Eteras Project intended to create a world balanced in all aspects, to serve as a template for new worlds slated for inhabitation. The expansion of its scope to replicate it resulted in its failure, an event referred to as The Error. This Error seems to have been the cause of the world's lack of aether, though how this happened is yet unknown.
Entering the Facility, Sam encountered a room constructed similarly to the Observatorium of Parmante. Its devices remaining intact and present, seemingly just needing the requisite amount of aether to begin functioning. Sam requested the Guardian to restore the facility to working order, even if it meant tearing down the very stone this place was built with. The return of aether to the area allowed the remaining machinery to function, giving Sam a breadth of options.
Overwhelmed by the sudden re-activation of a long dead facility, Sam would be granted a new base of operations as a Guardian Aspiree. With the location of the remaining Guardians now known to her, and travel to previous Guardians available, she would have a much easier time forward.
Without a care in the world, Sam stepped upon a teleportation platform associated with a yet-unknown blessing she supposedly received and was transported to the facility related to it.
