Chapter 34: Cold World Blues

General Summary

Samantha traveled to Clearcut to request aid of the recently turned parent Heir. Gaining a swift ride to the border of the Southern Wastes, Sam had to continue the journey on foot. Learning the hard way that the only way to survive the sheer cold is through use of incantations to provide warmth, Samantha continues onward through the Wastes.
When she was close to her destination, odd crystal spikes appeared to be in the ground. Upon closer inspection, the spikes seemed to be drawing heat from the nearby area, and shortly after revealed to be part of yet another simulacrum, this time Pagal, the Insensitive. After an extended solo battle, Lucia showed up to aid in delivering the finishing blow, but they were then sent down a chasm as the glacier gave way.
Sent tumbling down, the party discovered the Old World ruins left intact in the underground. Yet its secrets would have to be found another time.
