Chapter 4: Tranquil Forest
General Summary
Encountering a kerfuffle in the forest between an assailant and two members of Parmante's governing body, Sam sought to interject, causing the battle to escalate. After a brief bout, Sam used Hypersomnia to place herself and the assailants to sleep, allowing for their capture.
Waking up in deFleur Manor, she was treated to fresh clothes and a job opportunity: Security detail for Lady Arriadne deFleur at a party.
As a reward, she was informed about Aetheric Distribution:
Aether gravitates towards itself, creating clumps of it.
Aether Root absorbs local aether in its seed state and redistributes it over time in its tree state.
The Rune of Absorption was devised by examining the aetheric activity of the Aether Root's seed state, allowing aether to be converted into a mutant strain.
The Rune of Channeling was devised by examining rapid redistribution, causing the mutant aether to inflict Ruin on the surrounding area.
Sam was invited to the Observatorium by an unknown gentleman. Visiting him immediately, Sam met Jack and talked about the state of the planet and its satellites, as well as the Old World.
Offering the services of his 'friend' Kale, Sam would be asked to seek out the Guardian of Tranquil Forest, the Liondog.
