Nevalice

Nevalice is one of the primary locations of the realm system. It is considered to be one of the oldest known realms inhabited by humans. Despite its apparent age, Nevalice is known as one of the most technologically underdeveloped realms, relying on outdated technology, prioritizing its old practices and traditions. Large-scale commerce, trade, communication, manufacturing, and development are difficult in Nevalice due to massive terrain barriers, lack of consistent resources, and aversion to outland cultures. The fungus population makes life for non-native residents largely impossible. Local residents are immune to the spores, but transients often die from such spores. Nevalice is home to unique and bewildering flora and fauna, which may rival the strangeness of even Oddities' local organisms. One very lucrative trade that brought the influence of the Llorentians was the herb trade and prospecting of carbite ore. Nevalice is home to legendarily potent herbs and fungus. Nevalice's magick and consequently, portal presence, is almost non-existent. Practitioners of magick avoid this realm due to its temporal stability. The realm avoids the influence of madness. One of only known portals to exist in Nevalice belongs to its capital, Gorbia. Gorbia has the largest cultural mix of anywhere in the realm, allowing the first true industry to be brought to the realm. Its name is derived from its old native language approximately meaning, "Great Peace".

Geography

Nevalice is unusual by experiencing cold through the central horizontal band of the realm; collocated with the realm's largest mountain ranges. The hottest portions of Nevalice run parallel at its north and south poles. A notable feature that grants Nevalice mystery is its Mezarandal, "Steam Rocks". The steam rocks are a remote location that few inhabit, but possesses relatively no soil. Instead, the steam rocks appear top be a giant mass of porous rock situated underneath a thick layer of river rocks. The fog is thick enough to impair vision, drain the moisture from one's body, and be visible from far away. Large bogs sactrice, massive bayous, planes of torrential gusts, redwood groves, black sediment beaches complimented by aqua shallows, lavender meadows, and steep crags are notable terrain locations.

Nevalice is home to a breadth of species, in terms of size, and purpose. Massive species which may have existed since ancient times still stomp through the torrential plains.
