Baba Yaga (a.k.a. The First Hag; Mother of Witches)

After the two Fey Queens,  Baba Yaga may be the oldest and most powerful Archfey known to mortals. A solitary being who lives in an enchanted, walking hut, she appears mostly to those who are lost or questing through the Feywild. There are many different stories surrounding the First Hag; some say she was once a mortal sorcerer who achieved a cursed immortality and became an Archfey, while others say that she has existed for as long as the Courts themselves. One tale might paint her as a horrifying creature who cooks and eats unsuspecting travelers, but the next may tell of the ancient wisdom she bestowed on a hero who came upon her hut. Regardless, it is always stressed that she is fickle and easily offended, quickly turning on any who fail to treat her with proper courtesy. The other constant is that, due to her incredible power and sharp wit, her bargains are the most dangerously worded of any Fey.
Despite all the stories and mystique surrounding her, she has not been seen by Fey nor mortal in over a hundred years; not even the Queens or other Archfey know where she currently resides.
