Nelenor was long ruled by an archfey of the Summer Court, Oberon, before House Lothaire came to power; it is said that Lord Glynden outsmarted Oberon in a battle of wits, after which Oberon named them his heir and promptly left the city. The House lost a great deal of territory in the Realignment; governance of the Western Midlands overlaps with House Eladel, which was made up for by the fact that House Lothaire claimed dominion over several Feywild territories where mortal citizens of Raen’dor lived. Glynden has not been particularly ambitious or active politically outside of the needs of Nelenor and other villages under the House’s rule since the Realignment, seeming to keep to their own business and the business of their people.
