The Black Key
This large, jet-black key was found inside the stomach of a night terror inside Nightcrest Academy. Theran Nassal sought out River's help killing the creature (although it ended up being a whole group, including our four protagonists, that fought it in the abandoned tower). Theran knew the key was inside the terror, and was the reason why he wanted to kill it; when asked how he knew the night terror had the key, Theran responded that someone he knew who had the key was eaten by the creature (but did not provide any more details on the matter). As for the key itself, it is currently a mystery what it opens-- a mystery to all except Theran, perhaps, who now has the key in his possession.
