The Frostfens - Region Introduction

The northernmost realm of Western Raen’dor, the Frostfens are a cold and swampy region that most who weren’t born there tend to avoid. It is not densely populated, although there are a few scattered settlements that cultivate mushrooms and other local produce. Perhaps part of the region’s dreary reputation comes from the fact that it was historically a site of Shadowfell crossings and battles against those dark forces– while that influence has slowed in recent decades, old bones still rest within the fens’ frozen muck.
