Ontoril
Ontoril is located on the southernmost tip of a large island off the eastern shore of mainland Taifar. This island is home to many volcanoes. The volcanoes have produced a variety of rare stones and minerals that can only be found in in the area. In recent years, researchers have come to Ontoril in an attempt to discover the different magical properties of these stones and minerals and how they can be used in spellcasting.

Industry & Trade
The lava from the volcanoes has created fields that look as if they are melting. The nutrients from the minerals in the land has created a unique farming area special tea leaves and fruits can be harvested. These are often made into fermented drinks that are wildly popular and serve as one of Ontoril's main exports.
History
Ontoril is a relatively new city. This is because of its proximity to volcanoes that continuously erupted during the early years of the Affliction. Only in the past few hundred years did people begin to travel to the land that is now Ontoril and eventually establish the city. Researchers are currently interested in utilizing the stone and minerals that were produced by the volcanoes. Some have even discovered sites near the city that have evidence of civilization that was preserved by the volcanic ash.
Tourism
People come from across Taifar for getaways to Ontoril. The main reason people visit it to take tours of the now dormant volcanoes and view the fields of hardened lava on the city's outskirts.
