Renard cowered in the corner for the time being. He knows that he is a capable fighter, but there are at least ten kenku out there, and he is quite badly wounded from when they took Floon. The hiding man can't help whimper in pain as he continues to hide with his body pressed up against the boxes.
Sadly, he thinks to himself, "Is this it? Am I going to die in some shoddy warehouse to some alley trash that mimic babies in order to prey off of the righteousness of others?Is my throat going to be slit like..."
His train of thought is suddenly thrown off as the sound of fighting resounds outside. Boxes are getting thrown and people are shouting on the other side of these boxes.
"Fuck, are the Xanathar here now?" he manages to whimper out, "I just hope they don't find me. When I left the snakes and came into the gaze of the public, I didn't assume that would parallel my death."
However, a group of people find Renard who aren't Xanathar or Zhentarim seeking to kill him. They are a group of adventurers looking for Floon.
"Thank the gods. I'll join you on the search for Floon," Renard confidently feigns, hiding the pain. He grabs a rapier and dagger off of the bloodied massacred kenku and joins the party on their search for his alcoholic friend.
