Waterdeep
A horde of people slowly seep into the gates of Waterdeep, like the slow leaking of an hourglass, counting ones time until no more may enter. The mob of travelers are overshadowed by the Sentinel, A gargantuan knight made of stone. His hand grasps the central section of the top of his shield, and his right hand reaches across his body to hold onto the hilt of his blade as if to draw it the instant a conflict begins. As each citizen reaches the gate, a gang of Destguards pull that citizen out of the line before frisking them for illicit goods and any other item that would affect their entrance into the city.
If what they found is worthy of entrance, they may pass. If there is nothing helpful on the personage of the would-be emigrant, they are turned away.
A women with tears streaming down her dirty face screams to the sky, a shrill shriek likened to that of a Banshee. A destguard attempts to grab her cut-up arm to lead her away. The woman manages to slip out of her grasp and places her hands together akin to someone praying fervently for forgiveness.
"Please, I must get in there," her hands are as shaky as her pleading voice. "My daughter just entered. Please, she can't be alone." In a crazed state, she attempts to run past the destguard.
The destguard steps in front of her and throws her backwards. As she falls back, she loses her footing, tripping on the ground. "Sod off," the commanding voice of the destguard finally emerges.
The mother crawls forward on her hands and knees. She stays kneeling at the foot of the destguard. "Please," she cries softly.
The destguard draws her greataxe and swings down at the kneeling figure in quick succession. The blade jams down into the flesh with a sickly sound. Next comes the cracking of bone as the force of the blade manages to destroy this feeble women's life. The furious look in her eyes revealing the anger at which she lodged her axe into the kneeling target.
The blade stays stuck in its unwitting victim. Her eyes stare blankly into the eyes of her assailant. Calmness in death. Anger in life.
The blade is forcefully removed from the women's body. A crimson tide of red flows from her shoulder into the road.
"Next," calls the woman covered in blood.
Demographics
Titan citizens are upper class nobility in the city of Waterdeep as they were the ones to occupy the city.
Government
Ran by the Assembly, the name given to the four aspects of Dreus, Waterdeep is the seat of the great empire. Under the Assembly, the Committee of Stars is made up of intelligent Dreus Spawn who advise the Assembly on their actions. The Blackstaff, a Dreus spawn seer whose title is derived from that of the old position of the High Mage of Waterdeep leads the Protector Mages, a group built from the ashes of the Watchful Order of Magists and Protectors.
Defences
The City Walls: Massive walls that allow people to be streamed into specific gates to break up where people may enter the city.
The Destguards: A berserker corps that fights with fiery passion to protect the city. They are made up of those born to Titan parentage, and most harbor mutations caused by warp touch.
The Poxguard: The beastmasters of Dreus society, the poxguard are mutated beyond comparison of the rest of society to the point where they are more akin to the creatures they control than humanoid. Poxguard are almost never seen without less intelligent starspawn or other familiar creatures.
The Protector Mages: Powerful spellcasters and Dreus Spawn mages who protect the city from threats. Led by Folkvar Dründen, the Protector Mages work with the Destguard and Poxguard to protect the city from any threats, proving to be useful in tracking down any rogue mages attempting that wreak havoc in the city. Unlike the former Watchful Order of Magists and Protectors, the Protector Mages are a completely voluntary force who claim that they don't spy on spellcasters who refuse to join the order.
The Blackstaff: A Dreus spawn seer who wields the staff of which his eponymous title is derived from. He is a powerful mage who leads Force Grey and has control over the statues of Waterdeep.
Force Grey: An order of adventurers who are called as a last resort to protect the city of Waterdeep. The task of arranging those loyal to the empire and sending them on missions is the Blackstaff, though he often contacts them through agents of the debaucherous due to his unsettling appearance.
The Giant Walking Statues of Waterdeep: The statues at the gates. Dormant walking statues that were used to take the city of Waterdeep 100 years ago, the Walking Statues now stand guard over the city, once again protecting it from whatever threat may attack the city.

History
100 years ago, Waterdeep was a splendorous city ruled by nobles known as the Masked Lords of Waterdeep and their Open Lord, Laeral Silverhand. However, during Dreus' ritual that required 1,000 dead in the city, spies from all over the city were activated, sabotaging its defenses while a mass horde of creatures surrounded and besieged the city. One agent managed to rid Vajra Safahr of the Blackstaff in this time, disabling the Giant Statues as a last ditch effort. Vajra did manage to mobilize Force Grey before that occurred, and they leapt into danger in the hopes of breaking the enemy army by killing the leaders of the enemy troops in a stealth mission. They failed miserably, and though they caused many casualties to the enemy, the Force Grey squad was slain. The Griffon Cavalry flew down to destroy the enemy, but were no match for the sheer number of enemies including Titan, yuanti, and Chaos Dwarven troops. As things looked grim for Waterdeep, they decided to surrender as to not starve out as minimal effort came from the Lord's Alliance to aid the city. From there, the city stayed under martial law by the Titans until they slew the 1,000 needed souls to usher Dreus into the world.
