Sanguine Sunrise #27: Unexpected Arrivals

General Summary

The adventurers went to the Hold, where the First Archon was coming out, and they decided on a plan to travel properly. As such, the Archon demanded respect for his crew, and he would continue captaining the ship.
The group travel and speak together. Nonsense ensues with someone moving Kurt's head in his sleep, wrecking his ritual of sleep. Additionally, Kurt plays a game of chess with the Archon where he speaks of the importance of making the right decisions to position your life to set it for victory.
During this travel, two large objects are spotted in the water. As they near, the crew realizes they are orca whales, and these gargantuan creatures ram into the ship. As the crew rushes to repair it and slay the creatures, they notice as fetid humanoids covered in barnacles begin clamoring over the sides of the ship.
A fight ensues with these drowned, revealing that Kurt has some magical abilities to supplement martial prowess. However, it is also seen that there was a drowned loxodon with great alacrity firing at those in the fight. When all the others were slain, the loxodon removed its mask and shouted, "Dejal," before jumping back into the watery depths.
A few hours after this, multiple members of the crew and the party begin suffering from a disease where barnacles began growing out of them. Kurt manages to heal this with his divine abilities, and the ship continues to Waterdeep.
Once they arrived in the Capitol, they found refuge in a warehouse. Inside, they were met by strange creatures lumbering around to deal with the creates and barrels stacked up. Near the front of the ship was a cadre of soldiers, ready to control the situation. They were also met with Martyn who revealed himself by speaking in the voice of Alex's friend, Azlar "The Axe."
Martyn began lecturing Luthrin on his place and false beliefs when a knock occurred on the door of the warehouse. One of the workers who was being escorted out, began moving towards the door without anyone's notice. By the time the First Archon called for them to stop, the door was open, and a bomb was flung into the room.
The immolation caused by this weapon seemed to surprise everyone in the room. From behind its smoke, walked in two figures completely obfuscated by clothes of black, and a white mask with a red painted smile. It was the slender form of the Artillerist, and the herculean figure of the Brute.
