Session #3: Hunting in Darkness
General Summary
The group awakened in their manor, and talked about what their plan was. Alex told the rest of the party that they had an errand to run, and they left, not returning for that night, or any other time within the few days that took place after. After that, Kuro got Aila a job at the Book Wyrm's Treasure from the gold dragonborn called Rishaal the Allseer as an intern while Hope met Vincent Trench, the private investigator, at the Tiger's Eye. In the meantime Luthrin and Kiwi look for a new drug dealer.
Luthrin and Kiwi fail in their task while Hope finds Maxine, the talking horse and asks about Zhent operatives with the help of Kuro and Grimace. Maxine gives info describing dropping off a blond sun elf and a half orc at the Yawning Portal after Hope shows her the insignia of the harpers on a pin.
The group then spends a few days and nights hunting scarecrows and a serial killer that murders those of elven descent. They kill three scarecrows on three separate days gaining a greatsword that Aila has taken to work.
The night after killing the third scarecrow they go at night to the dock ward and stop a drow killer from killing a half elf named Heldar. They manage to knock the drow out as he ran away in darkness and they turned him into the guards, giving their names.
After everything is done, the party gains 200 gold from the Zhentarim for saving Heldar, Hope gives the info to Mirt, and they return home. When they return home, they ask Aila about the greatsword and plan to go to her work the next morning to figure it out.
