Elves
Seen as the closest to the old Odium peoples, the elves are respected and revered for their knowledge and insight the world over. Moreover, some of the strongest warriors in the land are elves as their long lifespans give them immense time to grow as individuals.
The various elven heritages are diversified in their many ways, and each commands a level of respect in their chosen environmental specialty. A high elven scholar's words about history are assumed to be fact whereas a wood elven ranger is not to be questioned on the knowledge of the wooded paths and the beasts of the land. This knowledge, coupled with the knowledge that any friends they make of the lifespan impaired races will be rather ephemeral, tends to leave them haughty and with an air of superiority.
The exception to these rules comes from the Drow. Where other elves are respected for their temperance and willingness to share knowledge, their heritage is one of violence and slavery. They are seen, despite their recent abolishment of the practice of slavery fifty years ago, as egotistical, evil monsters. Few are willing to give them the time of day much less trade with them.
