The Izalona Fist

The Izalona Fist is a guards company. It's well established, and the huge faction has an excellent reputation, and is motivated by politics. They are highly involved in the local community.
Izalona is policed by The Izalona Fist, rather than a separate guard. The guard is funded and armed according to the town budget. Their officers are held accountable for their actions. One can recognise a member of The Izalona Fist by the maroon and dark turquoise livery adorned with an image of a crown.
Law in Izalona is very much punitive based, and those that breach the laws can expect hard labour, incarceration, or sometimes public execution. Crime is an ugly stain on humanity, to be punished.
It's ruled by Theren Berevan, who was able to rise to power through nepotism. She is of mild competence, and her position is stable due to the lack of infighting for the leadership role. Bribes will be bargained about.
Members of The Izalona Fist are identifiable by their distinctive headgear. Membership requires a display of skill, and costs twenty gold pieces. The initiation into The Izalona Fist involves an oath to be taken.
They have limitless resources. A crowd of old favours are jealously guarded, as are a room full of gems, a fair few debtors, a significant number of artifacts, and a fair few contacts.

At their disposal, they also have a veritable army of rangers, a veritable army of politicians, a veritable army of knights, and a veritable army of assassins.
