The Malfa Lighthouse

The Malfa Lighthouse was first built as a watchtower, very early in the town's history. Later it was rebuilt, much taller and more stable, to serve a double function as lighthouse.
The Malfa Lighthouse is rumoured to have played some magical defensive role in some of Malfa's wars—burning ships, or sending enemy sailors mad when the light shone on them. If this is true, it hasn't happened in a century or two, and stories of what exactly the light did are not clear. The Maveren tend to keep this kind of thing to themselves.
