Tiefe (TEE-feh)

All peoples who live underground, of all races, know Tiefe, the abyss, desolation. Tife is the endless darkness that's worse than death. Anyone who's been alone in the utter dark has known that the darkness has a character, that it's watching you and waiting to devour you.
Tiefe is feared and respected but not worshipped, at least not by well-balanced people. Anyone who does, would be shunned by whatever society they're from. A priest of Tiefe is by definition a warlock.
Tiefe was inspired by this poster, for a 1923 German film whose title means "Lights of the Abyss." Irrlichter literally means will o' the wisps.
