Veithur House
Veithur House doesn't have much distinct reputation in Malfa; just another Maveren House. If it does have its own character, it's due to the fact that a number of its elders are enthusiastic monster-hunters. Najateïme, a legendary, possibly fictional Maver of yore, supposedly once said that true Maveren prosperity consists of "killing monsters and taking their things." Even if Najateïme actually existed and said that, opinions vary about whether she meant it as a compliment. But four or five elder Veithurs are pretty committed to that particular version of being Maver. They spend long periods at sea, hunting and killing legendary monsters, on the rather thin pretext of protecting people whom the monsters hadn't yet endangered. The flip side of this is that Veithur as a House is indifferent to trade and politics. They rarely have much opinion about the things going on in Malfa, as long as they get their share of whatever the other Maveren are getting.
