Seas of Steel: Mythos 1.4

Dahang Island. A war-ravaged, frontier island, sandwiched between three warring states. Despite its striking, mountainous beauty, the island is bitterly contested, being the path of least resistance for invading enemy territories. But soon, Dahang will no longer be a little prize, to be warred over by foreign powers...   Smoke rises vertically from the city of Suba on the the 11th of Othrys, into a cloudless sky. A smoke not of civilization, not of order, but of chaos and war. War has been all they could remember for the last 700 years (280 Earth years), with no time to recover between invasions. The main city of Suba has already been sacked twenty-seven times in the last two hundred years. But this time, it is different. Out of this smoke flees three people. A deserter from the invading army, sickened by the carnage he sees his comrades carrying out. A wanted outlaw, hunted by the warlords that have ruined her life. The last surviving member of the Two Thousand Heroes, officers who defended Ameral only to be dishonorably exiled.   These three meet atop Uwak Peak, all running from the same power, the army of the Kingdom of Yelowan, all nothing but ones forgotten in the heat of war. They have met before, on the streets of Suba, as enemies. Now, they meet as allies. One oath. Fifty words. Fifty words that will define the next thirty years of this island.
