Zehir

A powerful Rakshasa, Zehir had great power and influence a thousand years ago, in what would become the Empire of Ilien. He posed as a god multiple times, creating the Yuan-Ti before the Fall, before abandoning them, and leading the forces of a mighty assassin's guild, now lost to time. An adventuring party led by Natasha Duulrut eventually defeated him, but, knowing he could not be killed anywhere but the Nine Hells, instead imprisoned him with a powerful spell, inside the emerald gemstone on a statue's head, then buried deep beneath the ground. This prison does not stop Zehir from communicating to those around him, but keeps him from doing just about anything else. As Zehir's captors must surely be dead by now, he simply wants two things: freedom, and to punish the world for his captor's injustice. When his statue was found by pliable individuals, he was elated, though less so when he discovered that none of them had the power to free him. Now, he leads Honored Dawn, gathering wealth, power, and information in the hopes that he will find another means of freedom.
