The Raven Queen

Divine Domains

Life, Death, Memories, and Winter.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

A Raven's head facing forward, framed by a circle of metal and eyes alight with a green glow, typically portrayed by green gems or rocks. These elements are often split up and redistributed as a coded symbol in areas where worship is outlawed.

Tenets of Faith

  • Death is the natural end of life. Grieve the fallen, but do not pity them. Exult in the time that they were granted.
  • The path of Fate is sacrosanct. Those who pridefully cast off destiny must be punished.
  • Undeath is an atrocity. Death is too good a punishment for those who pervert the rightful transition of the soul.

Holidays

Often venerated during festivals that welcome the chilling winds of winter, as well as The Night of Ascension, a celebration of Her rise to Godhood by her faithful.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

The expungence of undeath from the world and the insured passage of one's soul from this world to the next, though whether this is intentional or not on her end is often disputed.

Physical Description

Body Features

When she was alive, the Raven Queen was described as a beautiful woman with raven hair, often depicted as an Elf or Human. After becoming a goddess she is described as a tall and slender woman, with flowing black hair and pale, porcelain skin. Alternatively, some believe The Raven Queen did not possess or manifest a physical form, instead appearing as a miscellany of symbols, perceptions, and images, or simply a flock of ravens.
