Lasila Vianova
"Absolution is the end, the goal, and the journey."Lasila was born on the day that Waxwing Fell, her cries heralded the ashes that would claim the lives of her parents and so many more. A dire portent, but one she was ignorant of until her father, dying, choking on ash, told her, as he tried to end her life. She kept that secret for many years before coming to The Discovered Lands where she hoped to find a chance for a normal life. All of that changed when she saw the Bay, and the Penitent Man - witnesses say she collapsed into a heap, frothing at the mouth, while others report a halo of light that gripped her, hoisting her into the air. Regardless, since then, she has adopted the mantle of a Shepherd, and calls herself only the Penitent. She spreads a message of peace, of absolution from the ash, of love and mercy for all the children of the Fathers. In her sermons she says she speaks to the Fathers and that they wish for their children to reject the twin serpents of the Sigil and Van Myr, to live only in freedom as all men equals. She mostly preaches along the coastal settlements and never in Hampsterdam itself. Their are reports that she exhibits miraculous powers during her atherings.
