Subsequently, the brothers were sent to live as wards of the state at the Croft and Cone Orphanage.

However, Abel's life took an unexpected turn when a local biker gang called "The Inferno Riders" began exploiting Cameron's Motorworks and its owner for protection money. Determined to stay out of trouble, Abel staunchly ignored the gang's demands. One fateful night, while working late at the garage, Abel overheard a heated argument emanating from his boss's office. As he cautiously entered the room, his eyes widened in horror as he witnessed the leader of The Inferno Riders, known as "Viper," cold-bloodedly shoot his boss. Overwhelmed with panic, Abel instinctively attempted to flee but was swiftly overpowered by other members of the gang. They bound him tightly and callously set the garage ablaze, leaving him to perish amidst the engulfing flames.
As the garage walls crumbled and the fire raged uncontrollably, hope seemed lost. However, just as all seemed doomed, the door burst open, and Casey, Abel's long-lost brother, rushed in to save him, pulling him out to safety in the nick of time.
Astonished and relieved to be reunited with his brother, Abel gazed at Casey in gratitude. Meanwhile, The Inferno Riders, who had been watching their handiwork, launched a vicious attack on the reunited brothers. In a stunning display of strength and skill, Casey single-handedly took on and defeated the gang members, violently but efficiently thwarting their assault.
As the police arrived at the scene, Casey and Abel's immediate savior, Vlad, swiftly vanished into the night. Casey, catching his breath, filled Abel in on his experiences, revealing that he believed he had been possessed by an ancient demon named Memoc. He explained that he now worked for a secret society called "The Benefactors," whose mission was to protect humanity from all manner of supernatural threats. After successfully vanquishing a powerful entity known as Raahomon, they had come to Casey's aid in locating Abel.

They sought to use Casey's blood to open a portal to Memoc's hellish dimension and summon his dormant army.
